Horn Lake Police Friday continued to search for a suspect in the robbery of a store located about a block away from City Hall and Police Headquarters.

About 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, a black male suspect entered the Family Dollar store at 3230 Goodman Road West in Horn Lake and committed the robbery.

The man pointed a black semi-automatic style handgun at the clerk at the cash register and demanded money from the register.

Police said the suspect, who is five-feet-eight to five-feet-10 inches in height, was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, a pair of black Nike running shoes with white soles, a black sling style backpack with white piping and blue accents, and a white hat or visor underneath the hooded sweatshirt.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk and left the store, heading west on foot.

No one was hurt during robbery, according to the police report.

Assistance from the public to help identify the suspect is now being requested. Anyone with information regarding who this suspect is or can identify him, should call the Horn Lake Police Department at 662-393-6174 or DeSoto County Crime Stoppers at 662-429-TIPS (8477).
