A second person has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of a Horn Lake man outside a Dollar General store late last month.
Ronnie Tunstall, age 29 of Memphis, was booked into the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center in Hernando Tuesday evening in connection with the shooting death Sunday, April 29 of Matthew Martin Jr. of Horn Lake.
Martin died of a single gunshot wound outside the Dollar General store on Goodman Road west of Highway 301 about 3:30 a.m. that morning, according to Interim Coroner Josh Pounders.
Martin was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven then flown to Regional One Health in Memphis where he died.
Orlando Davie, age 21 of Hernando, was arrested the same day as the shooting and books into jail, where he remains on charges of murder and attempt to commit an offense. Bond for Davie was set at $1 million.
Tunstall made a court appearance Tuesday evening when bond for him was also set at $1 million. He also faces charges of murder and attempt to commit an offense.
Martin’s body was sent to the Mississippi State Crime Laboratory in Jackson for an autopsy.
