DESOTO  COUNTY

Jimmy Hugh Lancaster, 78, passed away at home on Aug. 30, 2018, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis and COPD. Jimmy was faithful, kind and selfless throughout his life. Some of his greatest joys were spending time with family and friends, fishing and attending church. Even though his family will miss him, it gives us peace to know he is in the arms of his Lord and Savior where there is no more suffering. He is preceded in death by his father, Clinton Lancaster; mother, Florence Lancaster; brothers Arnold Lancaster and Joe Lancaster. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Ruth Lancaster; his children, Scott (Frances) Lancaster and Andy Lancaster; his grandchildren, Amelia Lancaster and Jake Lancaster; his siblings Kenny (Connie) Lancaster, Diane (Charles) Hood, John Fred (Jan) Lancaster, and Jerry Lancaster; along with many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
