Malinda Stephens, 40, of Horn Lake, left this earth Sept. 24, 2018 at her home after many years fighting diabetes and kidney disease. She was born Aug. 11, 1978 and was a graduate of Horn Lake High School. She spent many years working in the fast food industry. Malinda was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hernando, where she attended  when her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jane Christopher and James D. Stephens. She leaves her son, Gregory Stephens; siblings, Bill Christopher of Georgia, Buddy (Tammy) Stephens of Horn Lake, Lori Hardin of Horn Lake. Malinda had a host of family and friends who surrounded her with support and love throughout her life and health struggles. All friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3716 Byhalia Road, Hernando on Sept. 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service begins.
