Hernando soccer readies for playoffs

Members of the Hernando High School boys’ soccer team prepare for their MHSAA 6A first-round playoff contest Monday, Jan. 28 at home against Madison Central, starting at 6 p.m. The Tigers claimed a district championship this year with a 6-0 district record and are coached by Randy Reiter. Members of the team include seniors Joe Cox, Dylan Maya, Jay McCaleb, Brandon Boren, Luke Anderson, Nolan Pestana, Brandon Gonzalez, Noah Espitia and Fernando Caro; juniors Christian Liberto, Raul Marquez, Jackson Cardell, Houston Faulkner, Lewis McRee, Mickey Moton, Hayden Walters and Dalton Cook ; sophomores Anthony Longo, Antonio Martinez, Michael Powell, Jorge Trujillo, Cameron Wright, Brian Giron and Mack Moore, along with freshmen Bradley Dale, Ethan Martens, Jackson Morris, McClain Raffety and Jayden West. Manager is Peyton Sing.
